Welcome to Rhetoric Unbound

Welcome to Rhetoric Unbound: a monthly gathering for curious, engaged rhetorical scholars to think, learn, and dialogue with one another. On the last Sunday of each month, at 8 p.m. Eastern, we will convene virtually for a thought-provoking lecture and lively conversation. Owned by no institution and guided by no single political or ideological project, Rhetoric Unbound values plurality. In short, Rhetoric Unbound is a virtual space for inquiry, disagreement, deliberation, and intellectual growth.

Rhetoric Unbound is organized and hosted by Joshua Trey Barnett. Author of Mourning in the Anthropocene: Ecological Grief and Earthly Coexistence and editor of Ecological Feelings: A Rhetorical Compendium, Barnett is currently an assistant professor in the Department of Communication Arts & Sciences at the Pennsylvania State University.
